Discover the course

From the start in Leuven, you quickly dive into the National Park Brabantse Wouden National Park. Only since 13 October 2023, this magnificent nature reserve has been designated a National Park. During the Rainbow Gravel Ride, you are almost constantly in the Meerdal forest. Lush forests, untouched nature, real gravel sections,… As a gravel rider, you will soon feel at home.

Riding through beautiful and well-maintained paths, you’ll cycle almost as far as Bierbeek, after which you cross over to Sint-Joris-Weert along the Weertsedreef. A small loop takes you to the iconic Zoet Water. The spot where last year’s epic European/Belgian Gravel Championships ended with Jasper Stuyven as the winner. Then the challenging ‘Poggio of Heverleebos’ awaits, after which you continue your way over some enchanting gravel roads in Heverleebos, along the idyllic banks of the Dijle, until you finally reach the finish zone of the Gravel World Championships in the vibrant city centre of Leuven.

Enjoy a challenging course in the heart of the city and throw your arms in the air under the finish arch, just like the future gravel world champion will do. Then you can quietly ‘roll’ to the finish line, ready to enjoy the Gravel World Championships. Support along the course where you just rode, or cheer on your favourite in the city centre. A day full of gravel not to be missed!
